2nd Annual Texas State MX Championship

Freestone County Raceway

He built it and they came.... Part II. Once again, Freestone County Raceway was host to a spectacular event on it's brand new outdoor national track. Only this time, it wasn't Grant Langston and Ryan Villopoto filling up the podium. Instead, it was names such as Hackley, Spears, DiBartolo, Hudson, Fulton, Pierce, and Bisceglia. The amateurs got a rare opportunity to race on the same track as their pro idols, and they were up to the task. With the exception of a few of the "A" riders, none of these young men and women had raced here before. But you wouldn't have known it by how they were "haulin the mail".

Things got started with a fury on Saturday, with the little bikes coming out to brave the treachery of the sand whoops and big jumps. They didn't blink. Beau Hudson, Andrew Pierce, Matthew Bisceglia, Justin Bogle and the rest were more than able to make their way around the FCR pro track, attacking every inch much the same way the pros did in September at round 11 of the AMA Outdoor National. On Sunday, it was the big bikes' turn, and it was Sean Hackley Jr., Brandon Fulton, Ryan Grantom, Randy DiBartolo, Zeb Smith, Justin Martin, Clayton Miller, Ashley Fiolek, Lowell Spangler, and others showing the way.
