           Lil Richard White  #17

What is your full name and tell me a little bit about yourself.
My name is Richard White. and if you knew my middle name, I'd have to kill you haha :)
I'm 18, I've been racing for 14 years now and going on strong. I race the 250B, 450B, College boy, and 4 stroke classes

LOL ! We'll skip your full name then. When did you start racing?
I got my first bike when I was 3, and started racing at 4, and just been truckin on ever since

What got you interested in motocross?
My dad and his buddies were into dune buggy races at the time and I saw some motorcycles. I thought that would be really fun to do, and not too long after I got my first PW50 haha

What has been your top performances to date?
Umm, that's a hard one. I guess you could say my glory days were on 50's and 60's. I used to win almost everything. But I still win my far share of championships here and there.

What is your training routine? Daily schedule?
My training is with my trainer, she's a triathlete so she knows her stuff haha.
But my daily schedule is usually: chores, make sure bike is ready to go/ride/clean/etc, gym, go practice if everything is done. And that's about it haha.

What do you enjoy doing when not riding?
Well, I don't really know anyone from my town so there isn't much just "hanging out" to do.
I like to go to the gym when there isn't anything to do, even if I already went, I just like going haha.
I also like to wakeboard, my best friend since I can remember, Dustin Shows, used to race with me for the longest time, then got out of it and found himself into wakeboarding. I like to hang out with him when I can and go out to the lake every once in awhile. :)

Tell us about your parents' involvement in the sport.
Ill start with mom (Donna). Like most moms, she thought it was just a "phase" I was going through. Then when I started to get into it more so did she. I guess you could say she was just "moto mom" for awhile. Then she got a job working with some people that did transponders, then started working for a track. And now she helps run/organize the Oak Hill track.
Now my dad (Richard Sr). He has been behind me the whole time. He was a mechanic to start with so he made the transition to MX bikes a lil easier than others. I forget how long we raced for before he became tight with D&S. It started off with just him driving the 5th wheel to the races and help running it. Now he's Parts and Service manager at the shop and also drives the D&S semi to all the small and big amateur races across the map.

Who are some of the riders you root for on the pro circuit?
Eh, I just enjoy watching the racing. Its a lot of fun.
But I like to watch K-Dub, I like his style, really smooth.

What are you plans from here on out with regards to racing?
Just trying to keep it fun and less like a job. When it becomes like a job, then there's no fun in it anymore. Things become more competitive, and anger levels rise.
I just wanna do my best and see where that takes me. If it makes me a pro rider some day, that would be awesome! But for now I'm just gonna work my ass off to keep getting faster, and having fun along the way.

Favorites: foods, restaurants, music, movies, movie stars, tracks, events.
I'm a  big Italian fan! I would have to say Olive Garden is my fav fasho!
I like real heavy metal (I guess you could say its the kind were you cant understand them haha)  but I also like alot of rock too. Movies, gotta be action. I don't really care about the stars, nor the stupid drama that follows. Favorite tacks, hmmm hard one, I like sandy tracks the most, oak hill, Nocona, cycle ranch, anything like those..oh and I love concrete starts!! haha. The only events other than motocross that I can think of is Ozz Fest. A bunch of heavy metal bands!

Who are your current sponsors? Anybody that you would like to give a special "shout out" to?
D&S, Dunlop, Scott Goggles, Answer, Pro Taper, FMF, Asterisk, K&N Filters, JM suspension, and id like to give a shout out to Rian and Reidar from Scott, they've helped me out alot over the years. And mister Lindsay Wadsworth a.k.a. Waddy from pro taper. I love that dude! been a good friend for the longest time :)

thanks,
